Design and Implementation ...

Design and implementationWhether your business is developing property or implementing a new industrial process stream, making sure energy efficiency through design is identified at the concept and delivery stages of a project is critical to achieving planning success and long-term low carbon operational performance.

EEC’s Design and Implementation Team can provide outline and detailed energy and sustainable materials design advice and outputs to ensure best practice options are identified and secured in projects. Our team identify process integration requirements and appropriate and commercially viable technology solutions.

Sustainable M&E Design

Using experienced electrical, mechanical, process and environmental engineers, EEC works with clients to identify best practice energy efficient M&E solutions. This includes plant identification, system curve analysis, functional specification identification, control parameter advice and operational performance scenario planning. We can advise on a wide range of M&E requirements from heating and cooling to pumps, fans, generators and process systems using steam and furnace operation, as examples.

Project Management and Implementation

Organisations have varying requirements in terms of implementing projects and capital investment. EEC can provide ITT (i.e. Invitation to Tender) services to produce functional specification documentation, design criteria and performance requirements as well as terms and conditions of contract. We will work with identified contractors and key stakeholders to provide an integrated project management approach with early identification of delivery constraints and process integration issues leading through to commissioning and successful handover within agreed timescales.

Technology Feasibility

Whether your aspirations for renewable and low carbon generation technologies are at the large or micro scale, EEC’s Design and Implementation Team can provide an end-to-end service in assessing the most appropriate and viable solutions. Our expertise includes wind energy, combined heat and power, heat pumps, energy from waste technologies, photo-voltaics, biomass technologies, marine technologies, hydro and solar.

Our team has also worked on projects developing fuel cell solutions. We also provide expertise in energy efficiency technologies for integration into process and building services systems and can advise of best available technologies and those that will attract Enhanced Capital Allowances. As part of this service we can undertake energy audits and assessments at the macro or detailed level depending on your requirements.

It is crucial that organisations choose technology which is appropriate to their needs technically, commercially and in line with their strategic objectives. EEC can guide an organisation through this sometimes complex process to help ensure that optimal decisions are made and will stand the test of time.
