The term ‘Energy Management’ means different things to different people. We believe in keeping things simple without being simplistic. Core to this strategy is not only helping clients understand their on-going strategic objectives with regard to their carbon emissions, but also how to implement solutions and then defining and measuring the results to ensure targets are achieved now and well into the future and are aligned to their broader strategic aims.
EEC’s Energy Management Team combines many years of energy market and operations experience to provide organisations with a full range of energy management services including procurement, monitoring and targeting, consumption measurement and usage reduction.Energy & Environmental Management Systems (EEMS)
Typically both SME and large organisations who have consistent performance excellence as a key value should also ensure quality procedures and systems are in place
to maintain a leading edge.
EEC have developed and implemented Energy and Environmental Management Systems either as stand alone systems or integrated into existing Quality Management procedures, including EN 16001, the European Standard
on Systems for Managing Energy.
We also provide advice and delivery for Environmental Regulation reporting including pollution and prevention control compliance
for Energy related issues.
Bureau Services (Inteb)
Large and SME businesses need to continually analyse and manage the procurement and integrated supply of available energy and utility inputs to control costs and consumption levels.
EEC provides turnkey solutions through its Bureau Services arm, Intelligent Energy Bureau Limited (Inteb), in delivering energy supply contract negotiation, energy contracts management, bill validation, consumption reporting and the use of Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) or Multi Utility Service Companies (MUSCOs).
Inteb is pro-actively managed by experienced engineers and utility specialists to ensure that organisations captialise on the low cost, quick wins first before embarking on more significant investments.
We do this by helping clients understand what they currently have in terms of building infrastructure and service support to reduce energy usage before embarking on any longer term change programme.
Key Bureau Services include:
- Strategy & Negotiation
- Energy Contracts Management
- Bill Validation for Electricity, Gas, Fuel Oil and other utilities
- Pro-active exception reporting
- Half Hour (HH) electricity data management
- AMR & Remote Metering solution set up and management
- Tariff analysis and optimisation
Inteb offer outsourced solutions or implanted resources through our highly skilled and experienced team who have managed large multi site portfolio systems (corporate or investment properties) and SME energy requirements.
Inteb also has leading expertise in developing appropriate key performance indicators (KPI’s) feeding into high level business plan outcomes. Measured parameters are compared against established generic and sector specific energy and utility performance benchmarks for maximum visibility and impact.
These monitoring and targeting services are not limited to energy with an ever increasing demand for sustainability performance reporting taking into account the impacts of Waste, Transport, Carbon, Environmental Quality and Water.
Process and System Optimisation
Our Energy Management Team can provide testing, measurement and reporting services to significantly reduce energy consumption for process systems and the built environment. We will interrogate BMS data, control settings and recorded outputs to identify poor performance and areas for improvement through the delivery of action plans to implement recommended key changes with an aim of achieving best practice operation.
We can also implemenent Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS) at the local, multi-site and countrywide level using existing business IT networks or through a Web-enabled interface to facilitate remote access and control.
Energy Clinics
EEC arrange and deliver energy and environmental training for organisations which is aligned to their needs through our Energy Clinics as well as through technology
specific modular seminars.
We are conscious of the need to limit client time away from the desk or office and have introduced ‘Breakfast Club’, ‘Lunch Break’ & ‘Teatime’ sessions in many of our training areas.
These are short sessions designed to deliver key knowledge in an optimum time frame.
